Rascal

So, Ethan LOVES his early Christmas present. Ok, we ALL love his early Christmas present.

Rascal. An 8 week old puppy, Chocolate Lab, green eyes.....loves to play and sleep. That's about all he does......oh, and he bites/chew on things. (puppy's teething) Thankfully, he hasn't torn anything he wasn't suppose to yet, but he does really good about knowing what things are his and that's what he chews on.

He already sits at the back door when he has to go potty. He goes right into his cage at night and doesn't cry, he sits (still working on it though) and he LOVES to sleep on my lap. (which I love)

Ethan got to help Granny (Pilant) put up her Christmas tree last night and this morning, so when we went to pick him up, he was ready to do ours.

We are all getting in that mood: Christmas decorations, Christmas gifts (we're done, YEAH) and Christmas movies!!.........watching "ELF" now.

This is Ethan's Kindergarten school picture. I kinda can't believe that He's even in school. But he seems to enjoy it and has learned alot of far. His teacher says in some areas, he's already ready for First Grade........what? Nope my baby boy ain't going to First Grade. He is gonna stop growing and always stay little. Hey, I can dream, right?

Busy Weekend

Today, I have to go buy scrapbook items/supplies for the Craft Workshop tomorrow. Tonight, Sarah and I will be serving dinner at a birthday party, then setting up my tables for the Workshop. (this is so I don't have to be at the church at 7am tomorrow morning...BLAH!) I hope to be done by 9-9:30pm

Tomorrow Morning: Off to the church for the Craft Workshop 8am-12:30pm...I am teaching 2 classes on scrapbooking. From 2-4, I will be at Emily and Josh's House warming (still need to purchase a gift-I hope to find the time)

Sometime there after, I have to go back to the church and do the women's ministry cubicle, for the Christmas party and details.

Sunday Morning: Church, but we are celebrating Veteran's Day so we have 2 choir specials and I must read a poem in front of the church. Not a big deal, but I hope to read it correctly. =)

All the while, my poor hubby will be working and I will not get much time with him this weekend.

Spring is HERE!!!!!

We have all enjoyed the outdoors soooo much already. The flowers (weeds) are beautiful. Wasn't sure of we'd be seeing them again. The winter seemed so long.

My parents visit was great. We fit alot into 4 1/2 days. I'm ready to plan our next trip to Florida. August hopefully!!

Easter Egg Hunt

Ethan got to go on a Egg hunt today at school. Got so many cool things besides the candy....stickers, tatoos, rings....He said he had a fun day. He is now on Spring Break so he has 12 days off....must be nice!

I have Easter Cantata practice tonight. It's this Sunday....so we are doing practice almost every night.

Tomorrow is our Womens Retreat. I am rooming with Debbie, Cym and my best friend Becca......gonna be TOO much fun!!! Ethan and Daddy have a fun "boys night" planned for tomorrow. Ethan has been begging one of us to sleep with him.....he's a snuggler, but we don't normally sleep with him or let him sleep with us. But daddy has agreed to let Ethan sleep with him tomorrow night since I will be gone.

Well, that's the weekend in a nutshell.

3 days weekend

Well......my 3 day weekend was really nice. Aaron and I enjoyed a movie date night, Charity's baby shower was fun, we had 2 successful choir practices, church was great. Today, Ethan and I had a good day together. Went to the library, had lunch together, did some grocery shopping....he loves riding in those car buggys.....he's so funny.

Hubby went to bed at 7:30....I've been cleaning, gave Ethan a bath, put him to bed. I would like to be reading my book, but I'm updating this thing. Someone better read it....hahaha

Ethan's having a pizza party tomorrow and an Easter egg hunt on Thursday at school. Fun week for him....then Spring break....fun,fun.

IT'S THE WEEKEND!!!!!

So, Today was Charity's Baby Shower....YEAH....it was lots of fun. We had brunch...which was sooo yummy. She got so many gifts, great stuff, great outfits, lots of diapers, wipes etc....She got some boobie covers...hahaha Anyway-good times.

Debbie took Ethan home (thank you for the invite) and Aaron and I decited to take a quick date: Lunch and a movie...Vantage Point (someone shoots the President) VERY good movie. 5 out of 5 stars.

Tonight is choir practice....getting ready for the Easter cantata (next Sunday). I am so glad not to have a solo this year. I get so nervous afterwards (yes after, not before...weird huh?) that my heart just beats so fast and my voice gets a little shakey......anyway-pressure free cantata this year! NICE

Ethan's watching a VeggieTale Movie right now. Aaron's at a Lazer Tag activity. I am enjoying a little quietness.

Think I will go read a little before I have to leave.

OH, and my post from Friday didn't go through....so thank you to Charity and Gary for the wonderful Outback dinner and great fellowship. We love you guys!

Kids say the funniest things.

So, Ethan asked me today, "When a girl kisses a boy, why does she tilt her head like this?" And then of course, he slightly tilts his head. I busted out laughing and told him....I had no idea. His questions are endless. He's asked me to marry him. He's asked me if when he dies, will I put up a marker so I can come visit him. (talk about not knowing how to answer that one) He's asked his daddy why he scratches the inside of his nose so much....HA!!!

This week, they were learning the letter "R". Each week is a new letter, among other things. Last week was "Q" and Mrs Q and Mr U got married. The kids had wedding cake and punch. His teacher is so creative. Ethan had a good time.

Went to the library today. Ethan is into the Dr Seuss books and movies. I just finished "Loving Natalee" About Natalee Holloway (the Senior that disappeared in Aruba). Now I am reading "A Royal Duty" about Princess Diana. For some reason, I am very intrigued by the royal family. Maybe I was meant to be a Princess. HA....who am I kidding.....I AM! heeheehee

We are looking forward to dinner out tomorrow. My hubby, myself, Charity and Gary (better known as "Garity") are going to the Outback tomorrow. We love that couple...not to mention loving some adult time.

Well, I should be getting to bed. It's 10:15 and I am sleepy...hum....go figure.

Dr. Suess's Birthday

Today at Ethan's school, they celebrated Dr. Suess's 104th Birthday. They ate green eggs and ham (Ethan said it was actually good) and made Dr. Suess's tall red and white striped hat.

March 13th is StarShine's Easter Egg Hunt....Ethan's class gets to hide the eggs for the little toddler's class. He thinks that is cool!

They have spring break March 17-21 so we plan on having a fun week. To bad there's not a close beach!!

Happy Monday

Today Becca and I are taking Ethan and Regan to the mall. We're going to have lunch and let them play for awhile. They play together soooo well and they LOVE the play place at the mall.

It always makes it better when you and your best friend's children get along. I've had friends before when Ethan and the kids didn't get along....they were bully's. Thankfully, Ethan, Regan and Taylor get along VERY well.

Then later this evening, Sarah is coming over. We will have dinner (I have no clue what I am making yet) and we are starting our "Saved by the Bell, College Years" marathon.
